I decided that I would have a low-key birthday this year (it was last month and I'm finally getting to writing this) so I went to the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford, Florida. I've been meaning to go to this zoo for many years but just have never made it in. So I took the initiative and went. I enjoyed the visit although it was relatively warm that day. The staff there were very friendly and had scheduled sessions where they talked about and sometimes showed off the animals in residence. I was particularly impressed with the reptile house and the specimens on display there.
