Running in April

Running in April

I've been a bit busy when it comes to running lately. The first weekend of the April I went and ran the Gr8toDon8 5k in Longwood. It was decent and the weather was just about perfect for running. I performed a little bit less than I expected and I ran out of gas about halfway through the course. My  official time was 48:06. It was the tenth anniversary of the race and I had run it one other time back 6 years ago and my time then was 42:57. Here's the swag.

The following Saturday I walked the Mad Titan 5+k as part of the Villainous Series of races in Mulberry, Florida. The temperature was decent for this trail race but the humidity and the exertion on the hilly terrain made me sweat buckets. We both survived the walk with a time of 59:07. We ate mini-donuts after the race. Here's the swag.

The last race I ran was Sanford's Riverside Dash 5k. I've done this race every year for the past 5 years with my best time being 38:44.

The weather was decent although again way too humid and I finished the race with a time of 43:18. I felt decent but I just couldn't push myself as I've been able to do in the past. I felt OK with my performance. Here's the swag.
